I apologize for the newbie question but I can't seem to find an answer to this question - I suspect it it too obvious. On an AP460C or an AP510C, can I configure a secondary port so that I can connect a wired device to it? In essence use the access point as a switch?

Hi Jorge, yes you can absolutely set up the secondary ethernet port on your AP to allow a wired client to connect directly via that port. You'd want to do this by setting up a device template, and setting the port to allow user authentication. Here's a quick picture from my lab showing the settings I'm talking about in a device template:
