When registering through the captive portal, if the user disconnects from the AP, will they be required to authenticate again?

If it is a random MAC, yes, the idle timeout and keepalive timeout also need to be taken into account.

Is there any way to at least require re-authentication every 24 hours?

It depends on which RADIUS server you are using. All of them can be configured—just find the idle timeout and increase the time, as well as the keep-alive timeout.
