(Urgent) Bandwidth issues

(Urgent) Bandwidth issues

Hi everyone,

I need help ASAP with an issue I just discovered (the school year starts tomorrow).

Environment:

  • K-12
  • AP305c (10.5.3.0) and AP230 (10.5.3.0)
  • 4 SSIDs: Guest, Staff, Students, and Teachers
  • 40MHz Channels
  • QoS Seetings on (for 100Mbps max for each client)

Problem:
The bandwidth is being limited to 30-60-70 Mbps (it should be 100 Mbps) even with QoS settings turned off. "Enable Aggregate MAC Protocol Data Units" is enabled, and the Radio Profile is configured to use 40 MHz channels.

Steps I've tried so far:

  • Disabling and enabling QoS settings
  • Manually setting QoS to 100 Mbps
  • Rebooting all the APs

None of these actions have resolved the issue.

The only recent change was updating the planning maps and AP locations.

Does anyone have any idea what I might be missing?

If its this kind of ASAP, best to call or login and create a ticket with Extreme's GTAC team.  Sorry I cant be more helpful.  The only thing I can say is that Wi-Fi speeds are all theoretical, so no matter what the "top" speed is, only in a lab will you ever get close, and even then never what the limit is.
