WING mode in IQ Engine 10.2r1 ?

WING mode in IQ Engine 10.2r1 ?

Hello,

as I can read in the release notes of IQ Engine 10.2r1, it should be possible to switch the APs to WING.

“Multiple Boot Capability: Administrators can reboot devices running IQ Engine 10.2r1 or later to the WiNG operating system.”

But how to do that ? What Cloud APs are supported ? Or is this a feature for future AP or current WING AP which are loaded with IQ Engine ?

regards
Martin

Hi Martin, thanks again for your patience. It looks like that feature will apply to the universal wireless APs coming out soon (datasheets for those models below), and these devices will have the option to switch from HiveOS to WiNG. We are targeting early 2021 to release the universal models.

Hi Sam,

Thank you for the answer and Links. This makes sense. I have also seen that in the current version of the Release Notes of IQ Engine 10.2r1 the mention of booting wing is no longer there.

In the VX9000 Wing 7.4.2.1 there is already firmware for the AP410C and AP460C concerning “show device-upgrade versions”
