Our organization has recently converted from Cisco to Extreme Networks Switches. In Cisco switches, you can utilize terminal monitor to view messages over telnet that alert when a link on a port goes up or down. How can you enable the same type of service on Extreme switches?

Neither of these commands seem to be working. My test device is a B5G124-48P2 switch.

We are utilizing SSH instead of telnet, so maybe this is the issue?

Or in a telnet session, to do this only for this session, use the command:
enable log target session.

Tim,

To enable live log to terminal.... Assume you are using XOS? "enable log display"
