Hello, I have a customer who is attempting to connect two Extreme switches running SLP with two Cisco switches using Rapid-PVST.
Is there any documentation on how we can get this to work? Is this something that is supported?
Thank

Hello there @JavaJunkie ,
While not ideal, configuring both sides to use the standard STP (802.1D) might be the simplest solution. This offers basic loop prevention but may not be as efficient as their respective proprietary protocols.
Check the Extreme Networks documentation for recommendations on interoperating with Cisco switches. They might have configuration guides or best practices documents.
Consider contacting Extreme Networks support for official guidance on interoperability between their switches and Cisco devices using different spanning-tree protocols. If using standard STP is not desirable, explore advanced configuration options to make SLP and Rapid-PVST+ work together (not recommended unless you have a strong understanding of STP).
