ERS command : stack reboot-on-failure

Hi, Does anyone have any real world experience with the stack reboot-on-failure setting?
The manual is pretty vague, all it says is:  Use this procedure to reboot stack units when the system detects failure of stacking. This is enabled by default. So what is a “failure of stacking”? When a unit was in a stack, but becomes a single unit? Does this impact a single unit or the entire stack? I would hate to see an entire stack reset because 1 unit lost power. My best guess is that if a unit was a member of a stack and becomes a single switch then it will reboot itself and the rest of the stack is not impacted. Anyone know for sure what happens?

Hi Todd, you are correct; when the stack reboot-on-failure setting is enabled and a member of a stack becomes disconnected, the disconnected member will reboot in an effort to reconnect it with the stack when it comes back up. The main stack will not reboot when the single unit disconnects.
