Clone ERS 4950 Switches

Hello,

I’m trying to find how to deploy 200 ERS 4950.

I got to update SW version & boot, then choosing spanning-tree mode mst & boot, then spbm & boot

I’d like to know how to clone Switches : the aim is not to do all theses steps for every swtich

the problem is to clone new Switchs that are not discovered yet on XMC.

I’d like to clone them by using USB or tftp by saving all configuration (version, running-conf...) and transferring all to new Switchs.. I saw in many pages that they are using a python script : clone.py to do that.. the problem is that I can not find that script.

I know where @PeterK is going with this.   Deploy the ERS4900s.  Discover them in XMC.  Then script the upgrade, STP, and SPBM commands.  The switches will still need to reboot for each step.  But at least you can do it from one place. 

The only thing you will need to validate if you can do the STP change and SPBm enable while the switches are stacked.  Or are your switches all going to be stand-alone?

I got it, but in evaluation, I’m trying to use it, but I do not find where & how.
