Hello,
so i have a VSP from which i have setup a few VLANs onto stacked ERSs on a number of floors, i can reach all switches on the network and almost all the VLANs are fine; but i have two main issues:
- The IPTv VLAN has been acting up lately; the server has been connected to a port on a dedicated ERSs switch having the same VLAN. A few days ago, i noticed only the TV connected to that same switch is working fine while the rest can’t communicate with the server; the client called lastnight to mention it was back to normal only to call again this morning that TVs are no longer communicating.
- I have also noticed all the lights on the switches are blinking really fast especially the fiber uplink ones some of which are even amber in color.

So it worked fine, then didn’t work, worked, now didn’t work???
Intermittent issues just screams Networking Loop or Duplicate IP address.
From my experience a lot of CCTV integrators like using Static IPs on cameras versus DHCP.
Check the logs of the VSP core switch.
VSP command “Show log file tail” will show the logs from newest to oldest.
ERS command “Show log sort-rerverse” will show the logs from newest to oldest.
Are you are running MLTs from the VSP to the ERS edge switches.
If YES, take down one link from each ERS to see if network services gets restored.
If that corrects the issue then start double checking your topology, MLT config.
You can also consider setting up SLPP.

Klenan,
You need to specify the ERS model.
You’ll probably have to enable IGMP and IGMP snooping on the ERS ports and multicast over SPBM on the VSP if you need to route the multicast traffic.
Are you using Fabric Connect on the ERS or Fabric Attach?
