5420F-24S-4XE ports issue

5420F-24S-4XE ports issue

I have an issue with Extreme 5420F-24S-4XE switch ports. Port leds do not light up and the connection does not work either. I've tried fiber (100 and 1G) and T SFPs, i can see the right information regarding the SFP (type and speed), ports are enabled, (tried disabling-enabling), fw update done (EXOS 33.1.100.133).

got the port working with T SFP after disabling-enabling the network adapter, but it does not again after reboot.
no changes have been made to the default configuration, is there anything that could cause this issue?

Your Extreme 5420F-24S-4XE switch ports not coming up reliably, especially after a reboot, even with correct SFP detection and firmware, points strongly to auto-negotiation issues. The temporary fix by disabling/enabling the connected device's network adapter reinforces this. Try manually setting the speed and duplex on both the switch port and the connected device. If that doesn't work, consider testing with Extreme-branded SFPs to rule out compatibility, verifying fiber cable polarity, performing a full power cycle of the switch, or as a last resort, factory resetting the switch (with caution). If problems persist, it might indicate a hardware fault, and contacting Extreme Networks support is recommended.
