Alert on Auth Fail

I am look for a way to send an alert upon a failed login attempt on a switch running EXOS version 30. When I set out to do this, I thought it would be fairly straight forward, however my search has been fruitless. Is this even possible?

You could use syslog and on the syslog server you can create alarms and email notifications based on certain logs.

We are not. I was hoping that we could setup email alerts or perhaps do something with SNMP.
