All unused SFP ports on X670G2-48x is showing local-fault on link state even though it has nothing in it

I have a X670G2-48x, I've been trying to add in an edge node via SFP_SR onto it and all the unused ports link state are saying local fault. They have never been used nor have had a vlan attached to them. This is only happening to the unused ports on slot 3, which is also the master.
The other ports on slot 3 that have been working before today are fine
Port: 3:18
Virtual-router: VR-Default
Type: NONE
Random Early drop: Unsupported
Admin state: Enabled with 10G full-duplex
Link State: Ready (local fault)
Link Ups: 0 Last: --
Link Downs: 0 Last: --
VLAN cfg:
STP cfg:
Protocol:
Trunking: Load sharing is not enabled.

Does it see light when you run the command I suggested above?

Do you have the same type/brand optic inserted in both ports?

I am not near my lab so can't test anything myself.

I don't think so as another port on slot 1 that is unused and empty is showing a link status of Ready
Port: 1:29
Virtual-router: VR-Default
Type: NONE
Random Early drop: Unsupported
Admin state: Enabled with 10G full-duplex
Link State: Ready
Link Ups: 0 Last: --
Link Downs: 0 Last: --
VLAN cfg:
STP cfg:
Protocol:

Even if I patch a fibre the link status doesn't change.

I believe that just means it is not seeing any light.
Have you tried patching in fiber?
Do you know your fiber is passing light cleanly

What is the output of?
