I've been researching how to control bandwidth with any newer version of Exos and looks like egress is simple with the configure rate-limit xx port x out drop
command but didn't find any ingress. I did find a post about creating a policy to match all then meter xx bandwidth for outbound. I wonder if this is the best way or only way and does the cpu take a hit on this kind of traffic. I will be using 5520 switches and need about 20 different drops rate-limited in a data center.
Anyone have any other recommendations? or caveats?
Thanks in Advance!

I've found the below thread about the topic...

Ronald,
Thanks for the reference. I found that and set it up but don't know if I need to create separate meters for each link or can I share the meter and use it on multiple ports? I don't want to share the bandwidth for example have 5 ports with 10M meter each.
Let me know what you think?
Thanks,
Patrick
