Hi everybody.

I have pretty strange problem with upgrading XOS to 15.6 on Summit x480. I can't download 15.6 firmware from TFTP server, but I can do it with 15.4 and 15.5 versions. Some cli output bellow.

Current State: OPERATIONAL
Image Selected: secondary
Image Booted: secondary
Primary ver: 15.4.1.3
Secondary ver: 15.5.2.9
patch1-5

Yes, it might be a good idea. Thanks for the tip.

The X480 uses a different image file in EXOS v15.6+.

Page 15 of the release notes talks about this.
Due to additional functionality and new platforms supported, the ExtremeXOS 15.6 software image is too large to download onto the Summit X480 series switches. To resolve this issue, Summit X480 series switches now have two separate software image files used for both individual switches and stacks that include Summit X480 series switches.
There's an "X480" specific file, coupled with a download for the diagnostics (XMOD).

Download the new file from eSupport and give it a shot. If you have trouble, let us know!

Ok, I'll try it.

If your service contract is pending, your account team may be able to work with GTAC and get you the software a little early. You can either contact your account team, or open a ticket with GTAC to get the status if you know it is pending renewal.

Thank you! I am very absent-minded, sorry.

Unfortunately, I have only this files

summitX-15.6.1.4.xos
summitX-15.6.1.4-ssh.xmod
summitlite-15.6.1.4-ssh.xmod
bdX-15.6.1.4-ssh.xmod
bd8800-15.6.1.4-ssh.xmod

Our company hasn't payed the new service contract yet. So... I'm not able to download x480 specific file. It's sad.
