EXOS VRRP problem

Hello guys. my name jin. I’ve got some problem with vrrp. 

Symptom : I think it’s vrrp dual master problem. 

Product : Summit-X670-48x

EXOS version : 15.6.3.1.xos

please, look at the picture.

As far I know, the Master switch should send VRRP hello packets directly to the Backup switch.

In this situation, however, The VRRP Master sends hello packets to backup via DU( It Ericsson LG’s DU. may be have an L2 switch)

The problem is that flapping of vrrp state keeps happening.

I think there is VRRP dual master condition. I want to know the root cause and resolution. 

please share your idea.

Hi,

The ISC cannot be a L3 port if you want to use the MLAG feature as described in your topology design.

Sorry, I’m fresh out of ideas - given the security policies of the customer which make it difficult to post the config pieces to a semi-open forum, you might have to consider opening a case with support.

1. I may have the same hunch as Mig - port 8, is that the connection to the DU Switch? →  Each switch port is connected directly to the DU.

2. Wouldn’t you also tag vlan v108 and v208 to the ISC (Inter-Switch-Connection) port (the two horizontal red lines between L3#1 and L3#2 → No, I use the interlink(the two red lines between L3#1 and  L3#2) as an L3 port.

I’m sorry. It is difficult to provide full configuration due to the customer's security policy.

I will recommend separating VRIDs to the customer.
