hi guys im new to extreme switches and im having a hard time configuring these switches

heres the scenario:

we have extreme x670v switches and using 1/g sfp tranceiver

configure vlan "public" add ports 17-24 untagged
enable ports 17-24

now to check if the ports and vlan are working:
laptop 1 connected to port 17 with same subnet
laptop 2 connected to port 24 with same subnet

both ends unreacheable

and when i enter this command

show vlan, it says no active ports

am i missing something here?

show vlan "public" VLAN Interface with name public created by user

Could you share the show switch output to understand the flavor of switch being used. Also, provide the output of "debug hal show optic-info ports ".

Hi Ariez,

Based on the show vlan output, as you said none of the ports are active. Could you check the "show ports 17-24 configuration" output after connecting the laptop to the ports.

I would also like to know if the SFP used is BASE-T? Could you check the LED status of the switch port?
