Hi Expert,
Can I ask why some of X460G2 belong to Extreme switching but some of X460G2 belong to summit series switches? Even in the hardware installation guide, X450G2 belong to summit, X440G2 belong to Extreme switching, but all of them using EXOS software. They are quite mess, is there someone know the reason?

Hi Li,

Brocade switch, such as VDX and SLX , belong to our Data Center Switching
http://www.extremenetworks.com/products/switching/data-center-switching/

Avaya switch, such as ERS and VSP, belong to our Campus Switching
http://www.extremenetworks.com/products/switching/campus-switching/

As summary, Avaya and Brocade switches belong to Extreme Switching. But they are under different categories.

Best regards,
BIn

Hi Drew,
Can I ask what product Extreme switching include? I can see new EXOS and 200 series belong to "Extreme switching" any other product?

Hi Li,

There are two categories for Extreme Switching: Campus Switching and Data CenterSwitching.

Th new EXOS and 200 series belong to Campus Switching.

You could check the following URL to confirm what other products belong to Campus Switching.
