Hi Expert,
Can I ask why some of X460G2 belong to Extreme switching but some of X460G2 belong to summit series switches? Even in the hardware installation guide, X450G2 belong to summit, X440G2 belong to Extreme switching, but all of them using EXOS software. They are quite mess, is there someone know the reason?

Hi Li,
All of the X460-G2s are in the same series (and run EXOS, as you mentioned).

The Summit X460-G2s were released prior to a brand change that removed the family name and referred to all switching products as "ExtremeSwitching." The ExtremeSwitching X460-G2s were introduced more recently, and received the "new" name.

Your point is a valid one. Fortunately this issue should only exist in transition as we move forward with the new product naming conventions.
