I'm using x430-8p switch, connected to two PCs that use the OpenAvnu AVB implementation.
AVB is enabled in the switch.
My question is regarding the gPTP protocol- the computer in both sides appear to have the switch itself as a grandmaster.
Does the switch contain a clock which is better than the computers' clocks? Or maybe it's just an abstraction done by the switch on the gPTP packets from both sides?
Also- I try to send Announce messages with higher priority from one of the sides, but the switch seems to ignore them. Any idea why? It does use BMCA, right?
