How can I import variable into an .xsf script ?

I want to import some variable (.py,.xml,...) into a .xsf script, it is possible ?

'some variable' in .xsf, then when do you want to evaluate 'some variable' ?
or
evaluate 'some variable' then into .xsf script. Do you want to generate .xsf file?
Can you share more details?
