You can mix different platforms, but this is not really recommended. As long as you consider your less capable switch to be enough for the work, it should be ok.

Per the documentation, you should pair Summit with Summit, so this should be fine.
I've been using MLAG between an X460 and a BD8806 for several years in one of our labs with no problem, despite the warning. Of course, only do this at your own risk 
