Just an idea - in 15.4.X, do you think it would be possible to some day get an update that allows spaces/colons/etc. in the port description string? VLAN descriptions already allow it, and port descriptions can have spaces in 15.5.X
I know, it's a minor thing, but it would really come in handy if you're using tools like "Observium" for monitoring.

Andreas,
Above, You asked about the Release Recommendations... you'll find them in the Hardware/Software Compatibility Matrix document.

Daniel,
Yes, I know. 15.5.x.x and newer are awesome like that, 15.4.x.x isn't 😉

Well, then I'm sorry. I also checked the latest version of v15.3 (v15.3.4.6) and it does not accept those characters.
Regarding your mistake with v15.3 and v15.4, don't worry... "been there, done that..."

OK, I'm going officially insane now 😞
Yes, all my 8800s and 460s run 15.4.x and I *am* able to put special characters in.
My 480s run 15.3.x and can not.
I totally mucked up "primary" and "secondary" versions
Apologies to all, especially you! I'm blind, need more caffeine, or more sleep.
Just pretend I said "15.3" instead of "15.4" in all the previous posts 😞
