Snmp oid for broadcast traffic

Snmp oid for broadcast traffic

Hi exos experts,

I’d like to graph broadcast and multicast traffic per port with snmp/zabbix for loop detection.

data is present with sh port statistics

* Slot-1 B05-01.2 # sh port statistics
Port Statistics Tue Feb 16 15:57:01 2021
Port Link Tx Pkt Tx Byte Rx Pkt Rx Byte Rx Pkt Rx Pkt Tx Pkt Tx Pkt
State Count Count Count Count Bcast Mcast Bcast Mcast
========= ===== =========== =========== =========== =========== =========== =========== =========== ===========
001.1 A 1030315 75897268 629 171599 128 0 62158 963069
001.2 R 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
001.3 A 645875 48495874 809 242778 13 751 7204 635375
001.4 A 666412 57264142 19951 3676100 37 810 7180 635746

But noway to find which oid/MIB I should use to get it with snmp.

Anything I forgot ?

  • System Type:      X440G2-48p-10G4 (Stack)
  • Primary ver:      21.1.3.7

Thanks for your help

Cedric

hello, thanks for your answer.

ELRP is configure and i’m able to detect the loop existency (we use remote logserver and graylog alerts for that) but the goal here is to find loop’s origin.

all switches alerts on their uplink ports but we don’t find any alert on a edge port… I’wd like see on which vlan is the loop by analisyng the broadcast traffic and his increase if there is one.

Maybe I’m not clear ?
Thanks for your help

When you use ELRP for loop protection you can use the snmp trap to get alarms when a loop is detected.
