I want to auto configure my extreme switches. I read an article where it discribes how to use the cli command "enable auto-provision". But i cant use this command because XOS doesn't find it.

Is it not any more available ?

Thank you very much. Its now successfully getting the config file. Is it possible to not filter for vendor in dhcp but filter with hostname ? Because then it were possible to update both partitions...

Hi Tim,

I believe auto provisioning should start after getting the switch to factory defaults using the command "unconfigure switch all" (this will delete all the configuration from the switch and the switch will reboot) .

On EXOS 16.1, the Auto provisioning is enabled by default. It can be restarted by clearing the switches configuration using "unconfig sw all" and rebooting the switch.

Note - Auto provisioning is not enabled on the VLAN (Mgmt or Default) if the IP address is already configured.

To disable auto provision, use the following command: "disable auto-provision"
To display the current state of auto provision on the switch, use the following command:
"show auto-provision"
