Hi guys
I currently have an x450 in production for over a year. We have another x450 that we would like to stack with the current one however, I am worrying that if I do so I might loose the config on the current on. Is there a way that i can configure the current x450 to stack with the new one without loosing the config? (from Samueltechking)

Hey Techking

No once you stack you will loose the config this is because what is port one now will be port 1:1 or 2:1 depending on the switch.

The non-stack config will be saved on the switch and can be viewed using the LS command. You can tftp the non-stack config to the server and make changes and redownload it to the switch or before you stack type disable clip (this disables the cli paging so the command will run to the end) then type show config and capture that to you emulator. Then you can copy and paste that to a txt editor make the changes for the ports and then copy and paste the new config into the stack. This will help you get running faster.

Hope this helps.
