It's clearly mentioned on page # 1457 of EXOS concept guide 15.4.

Yes, active interface means vlan's.

Many Thanks for your help.

I have looked in the EXOS guide 15.4 , although it tells me that this PM-SM-EDGE is supported, I cannot find any reference to it in the configuration guide... also what do they mean by active interfaces ( vlan ?) finally I will be using dense mode, as al devices on 3 networks need access to this multicast.
