We have an avaya ERS 8010 switch that crashed suddenly, when our client saw it during failure, all ports were continuously blinking, they rebooted the switch.
After that we logged in to the switch but nothing appears in the show log command in order to determine the root cause of such behavior.
I read that when the switch is overwhelmed with traffic such issue would occur, appreciate if someone would help on how we can determine the root cause of such issue, or if someone knows what would exactly cause such problem and how to avoid it from past experiences ….
Note that our architecture is triangular, consisting of 2 avaya ers 8010 switches connected with IST link, edges are 5000 series, uplinks configured as mlt, and from core side is SMLT, thus, two uplinks from each edge, one to each core,
