I'm trying to configure a Summit 200-48 and am encountering serious problems. I have a USB-COM converter and a null modem COM cable, but even with those and PuTTY I can't communicate with the switch. I can't enter text when I open the terminal emulator. Any thoughts?
EDIT: Specifically, either the PuTTY terminal opens and I can't input anything, or I get nothing with a message about a COM port problem .

yes, the usb-com works fine. I believe the problem is in the switch, because its management light does not stop flashing.

Have you verified that the USB-COM is working with another device?

Hi Taylor/Kelvin,
I remember in the past that I would sometimes have to replace switches when their console ports would stop working. I haven't had to do it in a long time, but I did back in the EWare days. Not saying this is necessarily the case, but its possible that its the situation here. I'd say if the same USB/console/computer/terminal emulator settings are working with another Extreme switch, I'd say the console port may have a hardware issue.
Thanks
Brad

Hi, I have the same problem. Have you found a solution to this?
