When i upgrade a Summitstack (8 nodes X250e-24x) with new firmware (XOS) then not all nodes wil be upgraded. Downloading goes well, but installing of the new firmware fails. Anyone got an idea what goes wrong, and knows how to solve this problem ?

You still need to get slot 5 updated, do the update like this "download image summitx-.xos slot 5 primary" - Lets get that done first and reboot the slot, show version images and make sure all of them are Summitx- -

Otto,

This goes back to you needing to upgrade that image on slot 5 manually to get it from the 12.0.3.16 summitX450-12.0.3.16.xos to summitx. There is a command that is not documented that will allow you to copy images from slot to slot as well. On this stack, try using the command "download image slot 1 summitX-15.3.1.4-patch1-10.xos slot 5 primary" and see what you get. This should get that slot updated. Let me know.

When i tried to upgrade 1 slot, it failed..

Installing to Slot-5(Standby): ............Error: Failed to install image on Slot-5 - This hardware is not supported for this software release. Please see the ExtremeXOS Concepts Guide for information on installing a newer software release. See the Release Notes for your hardware to verify the supported ExtremeXOS releases.

Install image failed: (see above error message)

Another slot however, was succesfull..
