DHCP clients get IP without configuring DHCP relay on switch

In our network environment, we are using x620 and x440 and all users getting IP without configuring DHCP relay agent on the switch. how is it possible?????

The only other reason would be that there is a DHCP server on that VLAN that you are not aware of such as a wireless router added incorrectly or someone added a server but as Brad has stated, if the L2 connection to the DHCP server then addresses will be available to the end clients

If the user vlan has a L2 connection all the way to the DHCP server, it will work. Bootprelay is only needed if the DHCP server is on a different vlan than the users.
