VOSS 8.2.7 Port lock when booting

Hi Community

I am in the process of deploying 50 VSP7200's.

They are setup in SMLT Pairs.

We have noticed that during the boot process the ports that has "no shut” configured is shut down until the vIST is established:

1 2021-02-20T13:31:52.575+02:00 sw-xx-i1-4 CP1 - 0x000e05f1 - 00000000 GlobalRouter HAL INFO Port 1/13 locked until IST comes up. To force unlock shut and then no shut the port.

The Fabric is established further during the boot process and the vIST is eastblished and I can see that it is all reachable.

The problem however is that these ports stay disabled even after the vIST is established.

Is this normal behaviour? I would have expected the ports to un-shut themselves once the vIST establish.

Looking forward if the switches reboot the same problem will occur, the ports will shut itself, the fabric will establish, the vIST will establish but the ports never unshut.

Thx

if a port that is configured as “no shut” does not enable after reboot, then this is an issue! Please check the stored config file whether it the ports are configured as “no shut”. If this is the case, then please open a case with GTAC.

Thanks Roger
