VSP 4850GTS UBoot update

VSP 4850GTS UBoot update

We have a VSP 4850GTS-PWR+ with a corrupt USB. Need to upgrade the UBoot software. Downloaded the update from Extreme, but I'm unsure how to transfer the file from my PC to the switch? The instructions don't really say:

"Upgrade the boot loader image:
#uboot-install WORD<1-99>

Example:
VSP4850GTS:1#uboot-install /intflash/20140418_4850GTS_uboot.tgz"

So how do I get the file from my PC to the switch's "intflash"?

Thanks all!

I suspect you will need to RMA it.

Now it's getting to a login prompt of

4800 login:

But neither the rw or rwa logins work here. And it reboots every two minutes.

Is the switch booting up to the proper login?  Or does it stop at the diagnostic prompt?

If the switch is booting up properly you would use FTP to move the file to the switch.   Don't use TFTP.

If the switch only gets to the diagnostic prompt I believe you need to RMA the switch.

I would start by opening a ticket.   Usually if you have a USB issue the switch needs to be RMA'ed.
