What is the usual fan speed Extreme Universal 7520 running Fabric Engine

I want to monitor Extreme Universal 7520 running FabricEngine and need to adjust FAN speed levels on the monitoring Host. What are usual settings for lower / upper Warnings?

Thanks in advance.

Fan speeds on the 7520 are automatically adjusted based on the readings from the various temperature sensors on the box.

Temperature thresholds can be seen via:

7520_B:1#show sys-info temperature
************************************************************************************
Command Execution Time: Mon Mar 02 20:04:41 2026 KST
************************************************************************************

Temperature Info :

                        Sensor Warning Critical
                   Description Temperature Threshold Threshold
                     Ambient 0 31 58 65
                     Ambient 1 31 59 62
                     Ambient 2 22 50 56
                     Ambient 3 26 55 60
                     Ambient 4 31 58 64
                     Ambient 5 34 61 66
                     Ambient 6 23 56 63
                           CPU 34 88 90
                  INTERNAL MAC 37 105 107
                        SODIMM 27 80 84

In the above output we see that all sensors are below warning threshold and all fans are in "LOW" operating speed:

7520_B:1#show sys-info fan
************************************************************************************
Command Execution Time: Mon Mar 02 20:04:55 2026 KST

Tray Unit Oper Speed Oper Speed (Rpm) Airflow Type Status
1 1 LOW 7520 F2B OK
1 2 LOW 6240 F2B OK

2 2 LOW 6240 F2B OK
3 1 LOW 7520 F2B OK
3 2 LOW 6400 F2B OK
4 1 LOW 7360 F2B OK
4 2 LOW 6400 F2B OK
5 1 LOW 7520 F2B OK
5 2 LOW 6400 F2B OK
6 1 LOW 8800 F2B OK
6 2 LOW 8000 F2B OK

As the sensor temperatures rise, fan speed will increase from Low to Medium.  In the event the Warning threshold is exceeded, all fans will increase to High.

Alarm Example: 0x00010865 Temperature Sensor [value] [[value]] is ([value] C) has exceeded the alarm threshold
temperature ([value] C)

It is also important to note the following behavior per the 7520 Installation Guide:

"Due to one fan being located behind the other, air pushed from one fan can cause the other fan in the module to run at a higher speed. One fan can run at medium speed while the other can spin at high speed if one is close to the temperature boundary." (Page 94)
