Hello,
When comparing AP models AP510i/e and AP410c there seem to be some differences I would like to understand.
Since both APs will be controller based I am assuming they will have lean images installed.
Thank you,
Klaus

Hello Klaus,
the AP410C is a Universal Hardware AP (assuming only recently purchased (see here which serial numbers are Universal Hardware: https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000093507&q)
If it is universal hardware then the AP is XIQ ready and it connects to the cloud first. In the cloud you can then decide whether it should work as a cloud AP or as a WING AP (on premise). If you decide for onprem you have the choice if it should work standalone or on the controller XCC (https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000077265).
After you have changed the AP in the cloud to on prem, the ap automatically tries to find the controller as before in Identifi. When you connect the AP to the controller (XCC) it gets the software update from the controller. This happens after the deployment.
The AP510i/e cannot be operated in the cloud. Here you only have the choice between standalone (WING) or controller (XCC like Identifi).
