I'm new to Extreme Wireless and I'm not sure if this question should go here or in the ExtremeCloud IQ list, but here goes:
In our current (Ruckus) set up, we have a couple of districtwide SSIDs that connect to different VLANs in different buildings. For example, the network "Students" would drop users on VLAN 10 in Building A and VLAN 20 in Building B. The buildings aren't near each other so there's no real concern of roaming between the different networks.
My first thought was just to add the network to a new Wireless Policy and override the VLAN, but that changes the VLAN in the existing building's policy as well.
My question is how can I set this up in ExtremeCloud IQ? I'm thinking I need to create Cloud Config Groups and add my different buildings' APs in the different groups then key the VLAN off of that, but is there a better or recommended way? Or is there something simple I'm missing?
Thanks for any input!

Bryan.
Exactly that. Create the SSID, then under User Access Settings enable "Apply a different profile to various clients.."
Create a Profile for VLAN-10 which is assigned to the Classifier "Building A" and a Profile for VLAN-20 which is assigned to the Classifier "Building B"

Thank you all for your replies -- Now let me see if I can make it happen!

hi
you can configure classification rules, e.g. based on location, and set the vlan this way.

We use XIQ-Controller, so not an exact match to your platform, but we use the same SSID in multiple locations with different VLANs by creating additional networks, calling the network something else, using the same SSID and other settings, but changing the VLAN. As long as the same SSID isn't on the same device group (I'm assuming they are similar to your Cloud Config Groups) and using the same SSID on the same APs. It works for us to have the same SSID with the same captive portal/registration process with different VLANs behind them. We haven't had any issue with devices roaming from one site to the other - just set your idle timeout short enough so they can timeout between locations. Once we cleared that issue, its been seemless.
