Why is the logo upside down if mounted on the wall with the default option.

I found out about this change yesterday. We're working on finalizing the documentation/notice and getting it published. I didn't think any of the new shipments were going out yet!
This document includes a listing of HW Revision Levels that include the bracket (p/n 37201) so you can identify which ones include it in the box. Here's that table:
P/N Description HW Rev Level
31028 AP3915i-FCC 908754-10 AF
31029 AP3915i-ROW 908755-10 AG
31031 AP3915e-FCC 908756-10 AG
31032 AP3915e-ROW 908757-10 AHI'll share the full document in this thread when I can.

Hi Ron,
Most enterprise installations will use either the optional wall mounting bracket or the tool-less drop ceiling bracket which will result in the logo being positioned correctly. We discourage the use of the screw holes on the back but it is there from a legacy perspective. To be honest and transparent, the logo direction was an oversight that I didn't pick up until late in the cycle and changing it would have impacted the release schedule since it would change tooling and require recertification for electrical/safety. Changing the direction of the logo (and not the holes pattern) would have lead folks to install with the E/N ports down requiring the cable to wrap around the AP when the cable comes from the ceiling. Because we expect most installations to use the mounting brackets, based on feedback from the field on other programs, I made the call to let it go as is.
To your second comment about why the AP3915 doesn't ship with any bracket and the AP7632 does - the decision was based on the fact that most AP3915 installations will be for drop ceilings due to the smoke detector footprint while most AP7632 installations will likely be replacing previous WiNG legacy installs in Retail, T&L, etc. that are using legacy brackets. Shipping the metal bracket with the AP3915 will likely result in many customers throwing them away and using the drop ceiling bracket that supports a multitude of drop ceiling rail types and sizes. However, the metal bracket can be used on 9/16" flush drop ceilings and as result of some of the early feedback from customers we are considering adding the same bracket to the AP3915 for future hardware revs. But in the meantime you will need to order one of the optional brackets that meet your customer's needs.
Thanks,
Will

Another Q to the "product guys"...
AP3715i and WiNG AP7632 use the same hardware.
Why does the WiNG AP include a mounting bracket but it's not included with the 3715i - they cost the same.
This basic mounting bracket would allow to install the AP the correct way.... instead we must buy the optional mounting bracket for extra $$$.
