If you were to disable the band pref, and let the iPad connect (a small test environment) does it connect to channel A or no?

What does the client report show for that user?

SSID is open, channels change to All channels, but situation is not changed.
Client is connectind to SSID, then message
02/29/16 15:02:14: Assoc Req is rejected on radio b/g for the 11a capable client E4:8B:7F:XX:XX:XX due to Band Preference Steering
and client can't connect to SSID.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

An issue that I have noticed in the past is if in your VNS > WLAN > Privacy if the WPA.2 is not set to AES only, iDevices have had an issue connecting. If you are running WPA.1 I have had to change it to auto.

Lastly, I would also check to see if you have severe channel overlap as iDevices do not work well with that.

Hope all of our info helps you get to a resolution. Let us know 🙂
