Extreme hardware being placed in external road side cabinet . ( provide network & poe+ to external AP 3865 )

The cabinets exist , so I cannot change or modify. heat exchange will be by convection to out side. ( no grill or air con)

South UK based , so unlikly to have major weather events ( cold hot )

I look forward to your comments.

Hi

Yes it is a cannon "track side " cabinet IP55 rated.. it already has some hardware in it for the local mobile network.

Many thanks , I've done the same on Mast sites , using the switch as a repeater between two aerials .. where the switch is down basically as you said in a shed..

This cabinet is like a 1/3 size of a BT road side cabinet just enough to get a small switch in ..

We have a few switches installed in a roof top shed that seem to do fine. This slightly different than the situation you are describing because the switch is in a cabinet inside a shed. But the shed is not conditioned in any way.
