site survey with IdentiFi access point, battery pack, with and without LAN

I need to do an AP on a stick survey in a location where there is no LAN. I need to use a 3935 for my APOS survey. How can I do that?

I have prepared a WS-AP3935i for site survey using this directions:

https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000074210&q=identifi%20survey%20ap

I have an Acceltex Acceltex battery pack V2.

If I connect to the battery pack without LAN connection, the 3935 fails to transmit the SSID . If I connect the battery to the LAN, the 3935 transmits the SSID, the LED cycle around but it works. So it seems the 3935 needs a LAN to do a survey.

How can I use the 3935 for APOS with POE but without LAN?

Hi Stephan, turns out I was using a defective battery pack. With a working battery and the settings above the APOS worked perfectly even without a LAN.

I have tested this with WS-AP3825i WS-AP3935i and WS-AP3965i

Thank you!

Hello Jan,

are you using the POE output of the Battery Pack?

If yes your AP should work (because if you connect an AP to an PoE-Injector without LAN it works, too). Did you double proof the step 5 in the guide?
