Hello everyone,
after uploading the newest firmware to the accesspoint I tried configure the client-mode via CLI. The web ui offers the possibility to scan for networks and then connect to a ssid. But the list of ssids remains empty and when manually entering my own network it still stays disconnected.
The configuration via CLI shows that the network is configured but I was unable to find all other needed commands to get the AP to connect to a existing network.
This is the config of a freshly resetted AP and a ssid manualy configured via Web UI:
client-mode ssid MYSSID passphrase ascii ***
client-mode ssid MYSSID priority 17
no system led power-saving-mode
I found this page describing the configuration but I don't have ExtremeCloud IQ to follow the instructions: https://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/ng/Content/reference/understanding-aerohive-ap-cl...
Any possibility to configure it only via CLI?
Thank you very much
Arnd

Hello arnd,
I would recommend that you to create an XIQ Connect account and configure them through there using the same instructions:

Hello Christoph,
thanks for your reply but that's exactly what I didn't ask for. If there's someone who configured the client-mode I'd be happy to have a sample configuration posted here so I can rely on. Since the web interface doesn't show any existing wifi networks I'm not sure if the wifi interfaces need to be put into some special operations mode.
Best regards
Arnd
