AP410E Wing 7.7.1.10 4x4 Mode

AP410E Wing 7.7.1.10 4x4 Mode

Just picked up a gently used AP410E for lab testing. I configured the 5GHz antenna to use 4x4 mode -- it was set to 2x2 by default.

However, when I look at the radio status under statistics, it shows 2x2 mode. Am I misunderstanding something about how this is supposed to work?

Are you running it on 802.3af power? That will limit the 5GHz radio to 2x2:

James is right. AP410e requires 802.11at or stronger power supply (on the POE switch, where it connects, or via POE injector). While with AP310e you can freely play with power budget and "save" available Watts for more APs connected to one switch, with AP410e, this is not the case. Even with BT radio and second GE port disabled. All the relevant data can be found in the AP410i/e installation guide document.

Yes, that's exactly it. My old PoE switch only provides 802.3af. Thank you.
