AP4511Failed to reset

Good day dears,

We have some extreme AP4511 that seems to be not working properly and both led are solid,

Although when the AP is connected to a PoE switch, the switch port is up.

I tried to factory reset the AP using the reset button but it didn’t work and both led still solid.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance.

Dawood, if the device isn’t responding to PINGs and you cannot SSH to it, then the only option is to factory reset it….which doesn’t appear to be working either. The units that are appearing this way may have failed. This would have to be addressed by a ticket with GTAC. I’m not sure how else to diagnose this failure mode.

There are two ways to reset the unit to factory defaults.

Can you confirm that you have tried these options as listed here?

To revert to factory default configuration using the hardware reset button on the bottom of the unit:
1. Remove power from the AP
2. Using a paper clip, press and hold the reset button on the back of the unit. The reset button is located on the serial label, below the words "part number"
3. Apply power by connecting a PoE source
4. The amber LED will blink slow three times
5. When the Amber LED blinks fast, release the button
6. The AP will continue to boot in its default configuration state

From the webUI, navigate to the Operations main menu.Select Reset (factory default) from the menu at the bottom of the page. Click Execute
