Can an AP8232 be adopted into an existing AP7532 VC environment ?

I am looking for options when my existing AP7532 mesh networks start to fail. Since you can’t get AP7532’s easily anymore, what is my alternative when one of my units fail ? I would normally just configure the new unit within the management subnet, and it would get adopted by the VC.

One way to do this is to obtain a newer generation AP and use it as the virtual controller to adopt the rest of the AP7532 APs, this frees up one AP7532 to be used for meshing should one of them fail.

Here’s a link to more info on heterogeneous AP adoption:

Thank you for your reply. As the units that I’ve installed in the past reach the 5 year mark, I have to be ready for something to fail, and to have a contingency plan.
