Configure RF-Domain based login User

Hi,

Is it possible to create RF-Doamin based login user in VX9000?

For Example:

Suppose I have created 10 RF-Domain for A location and 10 RF-Domain for B location. If I create User A for location A and User B for location B, so that User A cannot see/manage location B access points and vice-versa.

Please let me know the possibility. Please let me know if this is possible through N-Sight either.

Thanks!!!

Regards,

ARUN

Hi,

I have followed the suggested way but it is not restricting user as per RF-Domain configured. As per N-Sight this configuration will work on N-Sight only and with firmware version 5.9.4 or above.I have tried with v5.9.6 also but this is not working on controller. Please confirm.

Please find the tree-structure configured on controller FYR.

management-policy default
user Banglore password 1 bbdea67ec2de4efc480a9f13dff7962afef8feadff51ee234e0261ee42015746 role superuser access all allowed-locations India
allowed-location India locations MSILG-BANGLORE-SPD

Please confirm the possibility on controller itself.

That is correct.  Like NSight, you can configure the mgt policy in WiNG to limit users to specified RFDomains.

Hi Arun,

I was recently doing similar thing with NSight. Currently can’t check it on WiNG but I suppose it should work similar way:

management-policy default
allowed-location Sites-A locations Site-A1 Site-A2
allowed-location Sites-B locations Site-B1 Site-B2
user Admin-A password whatever role superuser access all allowed-locations Sites-A
user Admin-B password nevermind role superuser access all allowed-locations Sites-B

Hope that helps,

Tomasz
