HTML5 Test Drive

Hello community,

I read that WING 7.6.3 includes the new HTML5 GUI, so I decided to install the VX9000 WingOS 7.6.4.0 img on a virtual machine I use for development in order to test drive the HTML5 interface.

The thing is that I try to access it from chrome browser but it still ask me for the flash plugin.

Do I have to enable something in order to use HTML5 interface?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Alex.

Hello Alex,

Yes, additional configuration is required. I have attached the WiNG Getting Started Guide, which provides the steps to configure the VX for HTML 5 interface using browser. You can still use the WiNG Manager v1.0.7 for legacy UI, even with VX configured for HTML 5 via browser.

Hope this helps.

Hi Christopher,

thank you for your partial answer. I hope we will not need to wait for this "feature” 4 years like for non-Flash GUI replacement. And also documentation for WiNG is not on track since Extreme bought it. Before there were CLI guides, product reference guides, user guides with each FW release. Now there is nearly nothing

Hello Michael,

There is no method to change the port (10443) used for NOVA.

Thanks,

Need to enable NOVA in management profile and connect to port 10443 to get HTML5 GUI.
