Afternoon,
I looking for some help. i'm trying to mesh an Ap510i to adopt a AP505i to cover a house proper and I'm having a nightmare. These are my settings
wlan wlan1
ssid AP-51-PK
vlan 1
bridging-mode local
encryption-type tkip-ccmp
authentication-type none
wpa-wpa2 psk 0 ----------
!
meshpoint AP51_PK_MESH
meshid AP-51-PK
beacon-format mesh-point
control-vlan 1
allowed-vlans 1
security-mode none
wpa2 psk 0 -----------
root
the IP address is dhcp on the route device and the one i want to adopt was set to a static address. The root device is in bridging mode.
Any help appreciated.

Hello @pkeats,
I've attached the instructions for your perusal.
IMPORTANT: If testing in the lab or both are in the same room while setting up, make sure you reduce the radio power to 1-2 db and that both APs are on the same firmware version. Once the mesh is established you can increase the power. These instructions work so you should be good.
I also noticed that you are using TKIP-CCMP on your WLAN. Please refrain from using TKIP and only use WPA2-CCMP.
BR,
