Modifying SSID with snmp

Modifying SSID with snmp

I’m trying to modify the broadcast SSID on an AP7562 via snmp:

old:

wlan Staff-Wi-Fi

ssid Staff-WIFI

vlan 101

New:

wlan Staff-Wi-Fi

ssid Collegue-WiFi

vlan 101

Is this possible just in a one-liner and, if possible, without restarting the AP ?

cheers

Mark

Hello Mark,

You can modify the WLAN SSID using SNMP, which I just tested on SNMPv2 via WiNG v5.9, using the following SET OID:

.1.3.6.1.4.1.388.50.1.3.4.1.1.4.4.87.80.65.50 (type is octetString)

The AP will not reboot nor is any save command required.
