NX5500 empty display screen

Hello,

This morning my NX5500 started to behave weird. I lost connection with the controller a couple of times, at first I thought it was a corporate network connectivity issue but then I realized that even connected directly to it, I was unable to ping it. The display is empty, it’s illuminated but empty. ETH ports shows activity if I try to connect my laptop but it doesn’t throw any IP address. I think the controller is not booting. I tried the console option but it didn’t work. The HDD led shows no activity when I turn the controller off and on. 

Should I prepare my self for its funeral or is there something else I could try?

Hugo, I’ve not ever had to troubleshoot a failing/failed NX5500 before, but based on your description, it does sound like the unit has failed in some way.

You didn’t mention it, but the only other thing I would do is connect to the console port while it’s booting. I would expect that there would be SOMETHING displayed. If not, then I think it’s gone.
