Could anyone let me know does the power supply of an Access point (Adapter or PoE injector) have the protection mechanisms for case of Short circuit and overvoltage?
Over voltage and short circuit protection is built into the Af and at power specifications, indeed the Poe will not enable until the device has been classified. modern switch mode power supplies also include this as a basic requirement.
