Tunneled versus bridge wifi deployments

Currently we have a tunneled deployment of our WAPs because we went that route we are now limited to two hundred and fifty WAPs can a tunneled deployment be convertded to a bridge deployment and what are the pros and cons ? We are running a cluster of two nX5500 controllers with AP7532s and I310 waps any guidance would be much apprecieated.
